One last view of Superstition mountain, and I guess they don't want the airplanes to get lost <G>!

Just past the bridge in the last series of pictures I had to turn around as the construction crew had the entire route obstructed and I really didn't want a confrontation. The bad guy in my head won the first round, but the good guy won this one and I turned around. It was a fantastic ride, and I still have a reason to come back.

I love our little waterfalls in AZ.

Wow, this is incredible! This part of the road drops 1500 feet in 3 miles. About halfway down I see the construction equipment. No workers, so I plow ahead.

The pavement ended about 3 miles back, and I have now reached as far as the road is open. Unfortunately that little guy in my head that always has to tempt me won this time, and I rode the DR around the gate closing off the road. Lucky me, they left just enough room. They gotta know.........................right?

Just scenery

That is Darold, the gentleman who is interested in my DR. He must have liked it as he said he would take it. He is leaning on the DR, but that is his ST1300 in the spotlight. I was getting hungery so I ate lunch here. The place is covered in bills floor to ceiling. I thought about clearing up a little space so a few others could get in on the fun but........................

That's Canyon Lake and then a couple of bike leaving Tortilla Flats seen in the background.

The Ghost Town of Goldfield. Once a thriving gold mine and community. More proof of where I am (I promiss no more proof). Now for some of the beautiful scenery along the paved portion of the trail.

Oh well, guess I will see what I can. BTW, who knows, I still might sell the bike. That's Superstition Mountain, and then a little proof of where I say I am. I thought the Apache houses were a nice touch until I saw the actual Apache's. I always thought the Native Americans were all natural, but me thinks that chicken may have seen a steroid or two.
