These four pics were emailed to me from Bronson so I am adding them to the blog as well.

Just a few more scenery shots as I work my way back home.
Riding some of the branch trails, I came across this spring. It didn't flow too far before the ground swallowed it up again, maybe 200 yds.

Some nice view of the lake and also downstream. This is one of several reservoirs on the Verde River.

This is Horseshoe Dam. A little different than most I have seen. Bronson says that when they spill water, that it shoots out a couple of hundred feet from the big pipe you can see near the bottom center of the structure.

This guy passed me while I was re-attaching my top box to the rack on the back of the bike. He was riding this Guzzi that he had modified by increasing the suspension travel and running a set of dual sport tires. It seemed to work pretty good as it took me quite awhile to catch up with him. His name was Bronson, and I asked if he would like me to take a picture of him and his bike with his camera. I didn't want to give it back to him. Without my glasses I couldn't read the brand. He later told me it was a Leika. I want one <G>.

After leaving Cave Creek, there are about 20 miles of pleasant scenery to enjoy during the ride to Horseshoe Lake. 10 miles paved and 10 miles of dirt.

I rode the TW 200 to Horshoe Lake on 11-26-2010. The T-dub is not real fast so I try to avoid the interstates. The last bit of civilization on the route I took is the eclectic town of Cave Creek. I'm not sure what eclectic means!

AZbackroads

I'm starting this blog as a diary of all the backroads that I travel on my dirtbikes. I think it will be a good way of keeping track of where I've been. When I took my first backroad ride in AZ, I was amazed at the beauty that only the offroaders and hikers get to see. This is hostile, but incredibly beautiful country. Something else that has surprised me is the amount of fresh water springs one comes across that flow throughout the entire year. I will try to identify each picture or series of pictures as well as date it. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do taking them.
